Terms of Service

Last updated: March 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SocialDock ("the Service"), operated at socialdock.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SocialDock is a social media publishing platform that allows you to connect your social media accounts (including Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Bluesky, and Telegram) and publish or schedule content to those platforms from a single dashboard.

3. Account Registration

To use SocialDock, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Connected Social Media Accounts

When you connect a social media account to SocialDock, you:

  • Authorize SocialDock to access and interact with those accounts on your behalf within the scope of the permissions you grant
  • Confirm that you have the authority to connect those accounts (e.g., you are an admin of the Facebook Page)
  • Understand that SocialDock will store encrypted access tokens to maintain the connection
  • Can disconnect any account at any time through the SocialDock dashboard, which will revoke our access and delete stored tokens

SocialDock acts on your instructions only. We will never post, modify, or delete content on your accounts without your explicit action (creating a post, scheduling a post, etc.).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use SocialDock to publish content that violates any applicable law or the terms of service of any connected platform
  • Publish spam, misleading content, hate speech, or content that promotes violence
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with SocialDock beyond normal platform usage
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of SocialDock
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide SocialDock as a service to third parties without our written consent

6. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create and publish through SocialDock. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. By using the Service, you grant SocialDock a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., publishing your posts to your connected accounts).

7. Platform-Specific Terms

Your use of connected social media platforms through SocialDock is also subject to those platforms' own terms and policies:

  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads): Your use is subject to Meta's Terms of Service and Meta Platform Terms
  • Other platforms: LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit each have their own terms of service that apply when you connect and publish through those platforms

SocialDock is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these platforms. We are an independent third-party application that uses their public APIs.

8. Data Deletion and Account Termination

You may delete your SocialDock account at any time. Upon deletion:

  • All your personal data, connected account tokens, posts, and scheduling data will be permanently deleted
  • Data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, including backups
  • Content already published to your social media accounts will remain on those platforms (you can manage it directly through the respective platform)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, with notice where possible.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep SocialDock available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

SocialDock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

We are not responsible for actions taken by connected social media platforms (e.g., rate limits, account suspensions, API changes) that may affect the Service's functionality.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of SocialDock after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of SocialDock shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
